Gordon Arnold is Managing
Partner at Arnold & Knobloch, LLP, assisting clients develop
intellectual property and commercialization strategy. For over
20 years, he has represented a variety of enterprises in many
industries. He has counseled clients in litigation, both in
the United States and internationally, on valuation and enhancement
of IP portfolios, as well as on avoiding infringement. Mr.
Arnold has been the lead attorney in many cases, both for plaintiffs
and defendants.
Mr. Arnold is past Chair of the American Bar Association Section
of Intellectual Property Law, said to be the largest organization
of intellectual property attorneys in the world. Previously,
he served as the Secretary and as a three-year member of the
Council of that organization. Mr. Arnold has been the Chair of
the Patent Policy Committee of the ABA and represented the section
in congressional meetings on funding of the Patent and Trademark
Office and the pending patent reform legislation. He is also
a Past-President of the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association
and is a past Chair of the Patent Law Committee of the American
Intellectual Property Law Association. He is currently on the
Board of Directors of that organization.
Mr. Arnold received his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Texas and his JD from the University of
Houston College of Law. He was an Associate Editor of the Houston
Journal of International Law and an intern to the late Hon. Norman
Black of the Southern District of Texas.
